The Sozoa Stool

No hardware and only three pieces this stool is easy to store away.

The Story

In Copenhagen, I was fortunate enough to study Danish furniture design. For the class I built a flat-pack stool. I drew inspiration from the famous designer Verner Panton, his groovy interiors and designs informed my design. As an artist I like odd forms and curvy shapes so I followed my instincts and created a jellyfish like form for the legs of my stool. With the design challenge of flat packable furniture, I used interlocking joinery with no hardware was my answer.

No hardware and only three pieces this stool is easy to store away. The seat is wide enough so that it could also be used as a side table.

College students struggle with moving so frequently, this easy, movable and transitional stool is perfect for a college kids apartment.

DIS Study Abroad

Thankfully my school was situated in the center of the heart of the Latin Quarter in Copenhagen. Street art peppered on building facades, trendy vintage clothing stores, cozy *Hygge* coffee shops, 'Speak Easy' tiny bars, and great plazas to soak in as much sun as you can surrounded my school.

The location was perfect for any designer, there's inspiration everywhere you look.

My Favorite Film from my time in Copenhagen

Copenhagen changed my perspective on design and for that I will be forever thankful. I found so much inspiration and was encouraged and pushed to find my style.
